Where Adam failed in his temptations, Jesus redeemed. Jesus came to set an example for us in how, not only we can live, but we can live victoriously. Trying to fight temptation in your own strength defeats the entire reason Jesus came to die. Remember the battles you win in private, will be the battles you win in public.
Spiritual disciplines lead to spiritual fruit. If you want to be covered by the Lord you must DWELL in the secret place. Here are the markers of the secret place? A closed door. Prayer. Worship, and the Word.
We often see the desert place as a place of barrenness and death. In some ways, it is. It’s the death of self.
